The Fantastic Four: First Steps is ushering Marvel into its new phase of films and TV shows, as it is set to be released on July 25. Ahead of the film's release, Kevin Feige revealed an unexpected cameo appearance in the film.
An unreleased film from 1994, based on Marvel's First Family, starred Alex Hyde-White as Reed Richards/Mr Fantastic, Rebecca Staab as Susan Storm/Invisible Woman, Jay Underwood as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Michael Bailey Smith as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Feige confirmed with The Hollywood Reporter that Hydde-White, Staab, Underwood, and Smith will be making cameo appearances in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
The 1994 film, was directed by Roger Corman, and was supposed to be the first appearance of the team on the silver screen. But ultimately the film's release was halted and was ultimately cancelled.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn as The Fantastic Four. With them Julia Garner stars as Shalla Bal/The Silver Surfer and Ralph Ineson as Galactus. Paul Walter Hauser and Natasha Lyonne also star in the film. John Malkovich who was supposed to play a villain, ultimately had his scenes cut from the film.
