Some actors find the day before an audition nerve-wracking, especially one for a big-ticket film. Take Superman star Rachel Brosnahan, for instance. The actor revealed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that she made it to her Superman audition an hour late because of flight delays. She was travelling from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York to the audition location in Los Angeles, but for fear of missing out on the audition, she kept checking for other flight tickets even as she was in the security line. Soon, she found herself running in different directions in search of the next available flight at an airport, which she says "is 39 football fields large". All this back and forth meant plenty of chaos for the actor, and interestingly, it worked to her advantage because her character in the film is an intrepid journalist.

"The chaos that came with me after what I had been through that morning must have felt so Lois Lane-coded or something because it worked out just fine," the actor said, much to the delight of Fallon and the audience.

Brosnahan has earned plenty of appreciation for her performance in the James Gunn directorial, opposite David Corenswet as Superman. In CE's review of the film, Prashanth Vallavan wrote, Brosnahan plays her part "with striking intensity". Superman also stars Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor and Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern.
