The fifth season of Stranger Things is set to release on Netflix in three volumes, with the first volume premiering on November 26, the second volume on Christmas, and the finale on December 31.

At the end of the fourth season, we saw Vecna succeed in his mission to destroy the barrier between the real world and the Upside Down. This results in cracks forming in Hawkins, Indiana, USA, the fictional town where the show is set. The teaser starts with the gang anticipating the 'burn' of the vines from the Upside Down. Subsequently, the teaser shows the military occupation of the town.

Max is still unresponsive and recovering in the hospital with Lucas by her side. "After all we've been through, this thing..., it ties it together, Forever," says Jonathan trying to convince Nancy. Mike and El share a tender moment, as does Hopper and Joyce. The teaser also offers a glimpse at Linda Hamilton's character, who seems to lead the military. In the end, Vecna ominously announces, "Found you," to a character not shown on screen.
