HBO's Harry Potter begins production

New cast members have been confirmed for the roles of Neville Longbottom, Dudley Dursley, Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Garrick Ollivander

HBO's Harry Potter series has begun its production at the Warner Bros Studios in Leavesden, United Kingdom. The makers also released a first look at Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter.

The new cast members include Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.

The series is touted to be a faithful adaptation of the books, and is set to premiere in 2027.

The cast also includes Arabella Stanton, Alastair Stout, John Lithgow, Janet McTeer, Paapa Essiedu, Nick Frost, Luke Thallon, Paul Whitehouse, Katherine Parkinson, Lox Pratt, Johnny Flynn, Leo Early, Allesia Leoni, Sienna Moosa, Bel Powley, and Daniel Rigby.

Francesca Gardiner is the creator, writer and showrunner for the series. She serves as an executive producer along with Mark Mylod, who directs multiple episodes of the series. Other executive producers include JK Rowling, Neil Blair, and Ruth Kenley-Letts of Bronte Film and TV, and David Heyman of Heyday Films.
