Michael B Jordan's The Thomas Crown Affair adds to its cast

The film is a remake of the 1968 film of the same name, which starred Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway in the lead

Michael B Jordan' The Thomas Crown Affair, is adding more to its cast as Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, and Danai Gurira, join the cast of this modern reimagining of the 1968 original, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The original film had a high profile leads in Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway.

The original film revolved around a millionaire, Thomas Crown, who is an adventure junkie. Seeking his biggest thrill yet, he organises a high stakes heist, from a Boston Bank. When the bank contacts an independent investigator, Vicki Anderson, she figures out that Crown is behind the heist, and the rest of the film follows a cat and mouse chase between Vicki and Crown.

This is Michael B Jordan's second directorial feature after Creed III, where he reprised the role of Adonis Creed. Jordan will produce The Thomas Crown Affair under his Outlier Society banner. Charles Roven, a longtime collaborator of Christopher Nolan, will also produce the film under his Atlas Entertainment banner. Amazon MGM Studios is behind the film.

The Thomas Crown Affair will have a release on March 5, 2027.
