Warner Bros. sets 2028 release for Dr Seuss' Oh, the Places You'll Go! animated film

Warner Bros. Pictures Animation has announced that its highly anticipated animated adaptation of Dr Seuss' beloved children's book Oh, the Places You'll Go! will arrive in theatres on March 17, 2028, in IMAX.

The film, a vibrant musical journey through life's ups and downs, will be helmed by directors Jon M Chu and Jill Culton. Chu, fresh off his acclaimed Wicked adaptation, brings his signature visual flair to the project. Culton, a seasoned animation veteran with credits on classics like Shrek and Toy Story, lends her expertise to the creative process.

Oh, the Places You'll Go! is being adapted for the screen by writer Rob Lieber, with J.J. Abrams producing alongside Gregg Taylor under their Bad Robot banner. The project is a collaborative effort with Dr Seuss Enterprises, ensuring a faithful and respectful translation of the beloved book to the big screen.

Renowned songwriting duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, known for their EGOT-winning work on La La Land and Dear Evan Hansen, are composing original songs for the film, adding a melodic layer to the enchanting story.
