We had earlier reported that the Spider-Man helmer Sam Raimi will direct and produce the horror thriller Send Help. The latest announcement from the makers is that Dylan O'Brien and Rachel McAdams have onboarded the film.

The film is based on a script by scribes Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. The horror thriller is about two colleagues being the last survivors of a plane crash on an island. Send Help is expected to be on the lines of Tom Hanks starrer Castaway, which will deal with striving to survive and overcoming past issues.

Dylan O'Brien was last seen in Caddo Lake, a thriller directed by Celine Held and Logan George and produced by M Night Shyamalan that was released in 2024. He has Twinless and Anniversary in the pipeline, while his Ponyboi, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2024, will get a theatrical release later this year.

Rachel McAdams previously starred in Are You There God? It's Me Margaret, based on the eponymous book, in 2023. The film received positive responses and won several awards and nominations.

Sam Raimi, who is returning to direction after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), will be joined by Zainab Azizi in producing Send Help under his banner Raimi Productions.
