As Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere on JioHotstar on March 5, the release window for the second season has been revealed by the executive producer for the series and Marvel's Head of Television, Brad Winderbaum. In an interview with Screen Rant's Liam Crowley, Brad was asked whether a project like Daredevil: Born Again is envisioned as an annually released show. Brad replied, "That is the plan. Season 2 will come out next year, and then hopefully season 3 and season infinity after that. I think this world is extremely rich, and there are many stories to be told on the streets of New York. It's certainly something very fundamental to Marvel, going back to the earliest days of publishing with Stan and Jack and Steve and the original Marvel bullpen. It's New York through New York, and the fact that we're able to shoot here and tell a story about New York made by New Yorkers is just fundamental to the series."

The series is a revival and continuation of the Netflix series Daredevil, which ran from 2015 to 2018. It stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. The title of the series references the comic book Born Again's storyline by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli.

Daredevil: Born Again sees the return of many actors from the Netflix series, like Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Ayelet Zurer, Wilson Bethel as Agent Poindexter/Bullseye and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher. Joining them are Michael Gandolfini and Margarita Leveiva. Mohan Kapur and Tony Dalton are set to reprise their roles from Ms Marvel and Hawkeye, respectively.
