"It is better to overachieve than underachieve," said Joseph Kosinski, the director of F1 (2025), in a new behind-the-scenes look at the film starring Brad Pitt as the lead. The video was released as part of the F1 75 live event, which showcased each Formula One team and their liveries as part of the 75th anniversary of the racing event.

The video showcased the efforts that were taken to shoot such a film on an authentic F1 racetrack. Kosinski talked about using a new camera technology which was developed for Tom Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick, which Kosinski directed. Like Top Gun: Maverick, the film has been shot with the stars in Formula One cars.

Formula One legend Lewis Hamilton serves as a producer on the film. He said, "This F1 movie is as authentic a racing movie has ever been." He added, "Today, to be honest, I feel like a kid. Seeing Brad at work, you know, the cast is incredible. I was... my heart was racing."

The sports drama is directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, who has produced films like Top Gun (1986), Black Hawk Down (2001), and the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. The film stars Brad Pitt and Damson Idris as the leads, with Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Javier Bardem, Simone Ashley and Shea Whigham. Several real-life Formula One drivers are expected to make cameo appearances in the film.

As reported earlier, Joseph Kosinski will collaborate with Jerry Bruckheimer after Top Gun: Maverick (2022) and F1 (2025) for a film about UFOs.
