Production of the Masters of the Universe film is moving forward with several additions to the cast. The film is an adaptation of the toy line from Mattel.

Morena Baccarin, who recently returned as Wade Wilson's love interest Vanessa in Deadpool and Wolverine, is cast as The Sorceress of Grayskull. Johannes Haukur Johannesson (Vikings, Succession, and Captain America: Brave New World) stars in the role of Malcolm/Fisto. James Purefoy (Rome) and Charlotte Riley (Peaky Blinders) play King Randor and Queen Marlena, the parents of Prince Adam/He-Man.

Nicolas Galitzine is set to portray Prince Adam/He-Man in the film, which follows Prince Adam's quest to battle for his home planet against the forces of Skeletor. With Galitzine, Camila Mendes plays Teela, Jared Leto plays Skeletor, Alison Brie plays Evil-Lyn, and Idris Elba plays Man-At-Arms. Game of Thrones alum Hafthor Julius Bjornsson plays Goat Man, with Sam C Wilson as Trap Jaw and Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops.

In a recent interview with Deadline, Johannes Haukur Johannesson mentioned that the filming was about to start in a couple of weeks.
