Daisy Edgar-Jones-Jacob Elordi film On Swift Horses gets release date

Earlier, we reported about Daisy Edgar-Jones (Twisters) and Jacob Elordi (The Kissing Booth) starring in a film adaptation of Shannon Pufahl's novel On Swift Horses. The latest from the project is that its distributor Sony Pictures Classics has announced that the film will hit theatres on April 25, after its screening at next month's SXSW Film and TV Festival.

Directed by Deadwood: The Movie-fame Daniel Minahan, On Swift Horses revolves around married couple Muriel and Lee as they start a new chapter in California following the latter's comeback from the Korean War. However, the arrival of Julius, Lee's brother with a history of gambling, affects the couple's life stability. Julius goes on the lookout for the young woman, who specialises in manipulating playing cards, with whom he has fallen in love with. Subsequently, Muriel stars to bet on racehorses and delve into a love life she never thought would be possible before.

The film also stars Will Poulter, Diego Calva, and Sasha Calle. Elordi and Edgar-Jones also serve as two of the many executive producers. Production on the film has been wrapped, and it had its world premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.
