Netflix has begun building anticipation for Bridgerton Season 4, which is set to premiere in 2026, and the latest teaser has only heightened fan excitement. The newly released glimpse offers a closer look at Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie, hinting at a romance that leans into fairy-tale territory.

Unveiling the teaser as part of its ongoing Bridgerton promotions, Netflix teased the season’s emotional core with the caption: “Indeed, this season we may witness just what happens when one must choose between fantasy and reality.” The brief visual has already sparked conversations online, particularly around the palpable chemistry between the two leads.

Season 4 will be headlined by Luke Thompson as Benedict and Yerin Ha as Sophie. The upcoming chapter also introduces new faces to the Regency-era world, including Katie Leung, Michelle Mao and Isabella Wei, expanding the ensemble further.

Speaking to Netflix about the direction of the season, Thompson expressed his enthusiasm for the material. He praised showrunner Jess Brownell and the writing team, calling the scripts “dynamite” and adding that the season is shaping up to be especially thrilling.

Elaborating on the romance at the heart of the story, the actor revealed that Season 4 draws inspiration from a classic fairy tale. Describing it as a reimagining of Cinderella, Thompson said the narrative blends childhood notions of magic and romance with the established Bridgerton universe. He noted that while the story has a fantastical appeal, it is also designed to feel emotionally grounded and relatable.

Several familiar faces will return to the series, including Jonathan Bailey, Simone Ashley, Nicola Coughlan, Claudia Jessie, Luke Newton, Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh, Julie Andrews, Ruth Gemmell and Polly Walker, among others. The returning cast also features Hannah Dodd, Daniel Francis, Emma Naomi, Hugh Sachs, Florence Hunt, Will Tilston, Martins Imhangbe, Masali Baduza, Victor Alli, Lorraine Ashbourne, Michelle Mao, Isabella Wei and Katie Leung.

Netflix has confirmed that Bridgerton Season 4 will follow the show’s recent release pattern, arriving in two instalments. The first part will debut on January 29, 2026, with the second half scheduled to drop on February 26, 2026.
