As actors Paul Rudd and Jack Black headline the meta reboot of the 1997 classic, Anaconda, actor-rapper Ice Cube, who played cameraman Danny Rich in the film, revealed he is returning for the role in the latest movie.

Ice Cube made the reveal during the Los Angeles premiere of the Sony Pictures comedy, helmed by Tom Gormican.

The actor said the cameo made things "go full circle in a way" and that he immediately "jumped at" the opportunity once he came to know what kind of film was being made by Gormican.

Debuting on Christmas Day, Anaconda is about two best friends, Doug (Black) and Griff (Rudd), who have always dreamt of remaking the Anaconda (1997). They finally take a shot at it and venture into the Amazon when a midlife crisis sets in. What was a fun experience to watch for them comes to life, and it isn't nearly as fun as the titular giant reptile decides to show up.

The original film was about a documentary filmmaker, Terri Flores (Jennifer Lopez), who ventures deep into the Amazon in search of a lost tribe with her team, only to be hunted by the snake.
