Earlier today, Vin Diesel took to social media to share a photograph with legendary Portugal footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. In the caption, Diesel revealed that everyone asks him about whether Ronaldo would join his popular Fast and Furious universe. "I gotta tell you he is a real one. We wrote a role for him in Los Bandoleros," Diesel added. Los Bandoleros is a 2009 short film that Diesel wrote and directed and is part of his Fast and Furious franchise. It serves as the second part to 2009's Fast and Furious. Interestingly, legendary Brazil footballer Neymar Jr also played a small cameo role in 2017's xXx: Return of Xander Cage, alongside Diesel, Donnie Yen, Deepika Padukone, and Samuel L Jackson, among others.
Diesel's latest post has fuelled some speculation about Ronaldo will be part of the famous action film franchise, which started with 2001's The Fast and the Furious. Of late, there has been some speculation about Diesel working on a sequel to Los Bandoleros after filmmaker Louis Leterrier revealed a delay in the production of an eleventh entry in the Fast and Furious franchise. Leterrier told Collider that Fast and Furious 11 has been delayed due to the actors' union strike in Hollywood.
