Tiger Shroff praises Vidyut Jammwal, shares excitement for Street Fighter

Vidyut Jammwal makes his Hollywood debut with Street Fighter

Earlier today, the makers of Street Fighter shared posters for the characters in the film and a 45-second-long glimpse video, giving a sneak peek at the action sequences in it. The video also shows Vidyut Jammwal doing a striking pose as the action cuts to other characters. The poster and the video have caused much excitement among fans and the film fraternity. Even Tiger Shroff, who is also known for his action roles in Hindi cinema, tagged Vidyut Jammwal in a post and shared his excitement for the upcoming film. "No better fit for this bhai.. taking your skills to the next level," he wrote referring to Vidyut. Tiger also added, "Looking forward to this one. Guys watch out for Street Fighter coming soon." In response, Vidyut wrote, "Tiger your support hits different. Ab aag dono taraf se lagenge (Now, will bring fire from both sides). My warrior I need your company."

Street Fighter marks Vidyut Jammwal's Hollywood debut. He plays a yogi called Dhalsim in the film, which hails from director Kitao Sakurai. The plot follows Andrew Koji's character Ryu and Noah Centineo's Ken, estranged fighters who come back to participate in the World Warrior Tournament at the behest of Chun-Li (Callina Liang). An excerpt from the official logline reads, "Behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past."

The cast also includes Jason Momoa as a beast, Cody Rhodes, Orville Peck, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, and Olivier Richters, among others. Street Fighter is scheduled for an October 16, 2026, release in theatres.
