Earlier this Friday, Prime Video released two new posters for the highly anticipated fifth and final season of its series The Boys through social media. The posters feature Karl Urban’s character Billy Butcher and Antony Starr’s character Homelander. At the same time, Prime Video confirmed that The Boys finale will release on the streaming platform next year. However, the streamer is yet to reveal a specific release date for the final season. Speaking of which, The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke recently revealed through social media that the last season is set to release "reasonably soon". It has entered the post-production stage, with editing completed and VFX work underway. If everything goes according to the makers' plans, The Boys season 5 is expected to release in the 2026 first quarter.

The Boys finale also bring back actors Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Joe Kessler), Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy), and Paul Reiser (The Legend). London Thor also reprises her Jordan Li character from the Prime Video series Gen V in the upcoming season of the series, which blends elements of action, drama, fantasy, and black comedy. Actor and rapper Daveed Diggs, too, is part of the cast, although the makers are yet to reveal the specifics of his role.

Misha Collins and Jared Padalecki star in guest roles in the final season of The Boys. Urban teased some "great cameos" in it while speaking at the recent Fan Expo San Francisco as part of The Boys panel.
