Actors Kristen Bell and Daniela Melchior are joining hands for the sequel to Violent Night. Tommy Wirkola is returning to helm the sequel which will have a screenplay by Pat Casey and Josh Miller.

David Harbour will once again take on the lead role as Santa Claus. In the 2022 film, Santa Claus fights mercenaries who have taken a wealthy family hostage in their home. The film also stars John Leguizamo, Alex Hassell, and Beverly D'Angelo.

This time, David Harbour has a new task in hand, but plot details have been kept under wraps. The new film is backed by 87North founders Kelly McCormick and David Leitch. They are producing under their first look deal with Universal.

Known for her roles in The Suicide Squad and Fast X, Melchior was recently seen in Jake Gyllenhaal's Road House. Up next, she has Balls Up, helmed by Peter Farrelly and the Anaconda reboot by Sony Pictures.

Kristen Bell’s latest project is the Netflix comedy series Nobody Wants This, where she stars opposite Adam Brody and also takes on the role of executive producer. A second season is currently in development. Her recent work also includes lead roles in Amazon Prime’s comedy film The People We Hate at the Wedding, featuring Allison Janney and Ben Platt, as well as Netflix’s parody thriller The Woman in the House.
