The About Fate actor Emma Roberts is set to join the star cast of A Murder Uncorked, a romantic-comedy intertwined with murder mystery elements.

The film, marking Roberts' reunion with We're the Millers producer Vincent Newman, is penned by Legally Blonde fame scribe Karen McCullah and directed by Ari Sandel.

A Murder Uncorked, based on Michele Scott's seven-book murder mystery romance series, will have Emma play a struggling actor who loses her TV detective role and wants to get back her waitressing job. That's when she falls for the handsome Derek, owner of a prestigious winery. Terror strikes just when she lands her dream job, as a murder happens at the vineyard. Whether she cracks the case and saves her love from the trouble forms the rest of the story.

A Murder Uncorked is set to begin production in 2026.

Emma is known for her roles in The Blackcoat's Daughter, Nerve, Paradise Hills, We're the Millers, Holidate, Wild Child, Scream 4, and American Horror Story. Recently seen in Madame Web and Space Cadet, Emma has The Technique in the post-production stage.
