Mandy Moore reunites with This Is Us creator for sports drama

Mandy Moore will join This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman's new sports drama, which is yet to be titled. Fogelman has previously written for Crazy, Stupid, Love and Cars.

The untitled series is produced by 20th Television and Skydance Sports. Fogelman is also serving as an executive producer alongside David Ellison, Kevin Falls, Jason T Reed, Jess Rosenthal, and Jesse Sisgold. Hulu is the studio behind the series.

According to Deadline, Moore will portray Lauren Durkin, the daughter of Hank Durkin, an US National Football League (NFL) team owner. Christopher Meloni will play the role of the team's coach, Danny Roarke.

Moore was nominated for a Primtime Emmy Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of the Pearson family matriarch, Rebecca, in This Is Us. She will be seen alongside Nate Bargatze in The Breadwinner.
