Netflix has released the teaser for its upcoming thriller film Ballad of a Small Player recently. The film, which is directed by Edward Berger, stars Colin Farrell in the lead.

Berger directs Ballad of a Small Player from a script by Rowan Joffe, who in turn adapted the Lawrence Osborn's novel, which was published in 2014. Berger also produces the film along with Mike Goodridge and Matthew James Wilkinson. This is Berger's second collaboration with Netflix after All Quiet on the Western Front.

The cast of the film includes Fala Chen, Deanie Ip, Alex Jennings and Tilda Swinton. The film will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, later this year. It will begin streaming on Netflix from October 29.

Farrell will star as Lord Doyle, who is hiding in Macau hiding from his past debts. During his period of hiding, he finds solitude in a kind person, as his past catches up to him.
