Thunderbolts* sets a digital release date

Marvel's Thunderbolts*, which released in worldwide on May 2, 2025, minted over $380 million during its theatrical run. The film opened to mostly positive reviews upon release.

The makers have announced that the digital debut of the film will be made in Disney+ from August 27.

Featuring Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Lewis Pullman, David Harbour and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Thunderbolts* depicts a new band of anti-heroes assembled by Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Louis-Dreyfus) to combat a new threat, only to discover later that they have been set-up by Valentina for something diabolical. These anti-heroes are assembled from several past MCU movies and shows such as Black Widow and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.  

Thunderbolts* is the 36th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is written by Eric Pearson, Lee Sung Jin, and Joanna Calo. The film is directed by Jake Schreier and produced by Marvel's Kevin Feige.
