Regretting You trailer: Love, grief, and doubt reign in this drama

Regretting You is one of the adaptions of Colleen Hoover's novels, with the others being Verity, Reminders of Him, and Its Ends With Us

A trailer for the next Colleen Hoover adaptation, Regretting You, has been released. The film will be directed by Josh Boone, who amongst other things, has also directed The Fault in Our Stars.

The trailer opens with Clara Grant reuniting with her crush from her school, and confessing to her aunt Jenny about it. As Clara narrates that her mother and father were high school sweethearts like her aunt Jenny and uncle Jonah, the tone changes. It is revealed that Jenny was involved with Clara's father, and both of them succumbed to their injuries after a car accident. The trailer hints at the film revolving around Clara's relationship with her mother and her crush, becoming complicated after the accident.

McKenna Grace leads the cast as Clara Grant, with Alison Williams as Morgan, Clara's mother, Scott Eastwood as Clara's father, Willa Fitzgerald as Clara's aunt, Jenny, and Dave Franco as Clara's uncle, Jonah. Mason Thames, Clancy Brown, Ethan Samuel Costanilla, and Sam Morales are also part of the cast.

Regretting You is one of the adaptations of Hoover's novels. Previously her novel It Ends With Us, was adapted in to a feature film starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. Upcoming films include the adaptations of Reminders of Him and Verity.

The film will release theatrically on October 24.
