Jay Kelly Trailer: George Clooney's movie star reflects back on his legacy in Noah Baumbach's next

The film reunites Baumbach with Adam Sandler after their 2017 film The Meyerowitz Stories

A while ago, Netflix shared the trailer for its upcoming film Jay Kelly, starring George Clooney and Adam Sandler in the lead roles. According to the official logline, the Noah Baumbach directorial follows a renowned film actor (Clooney) who sets off on a journey across Europe alongside his manager (Sandler). En route, they have to consider their choices in life, their legacies, and their relationships with friends and family. In a portion from the trailer, Clooney's titular character says, “You know how difficult it is to be yourself? You try it.”

Jay Kelly marks the maiden collaboration between George Clooney and Adam Sandler. The film, which reunites Baumbach with Sandler after their 2017 film The Meyerowitz Stories, also stars Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Grace Edwards, Stacy Keach, and Jim Broadbent, among others. The cast includes Patrick Wilson, Eve Hewson, Greta Gerwig, Alba Rohrwacher, Josh Hamilton, Lenny Henry, Emily Mortimer, Nicôle Lecky, Thaddea Graham, Isla Fisher, Louis Partridge, and Charlie Rowe.

Notably, Mortimer has also written the film with director Baumbach. Gerwig plays the spouse of Sandler's Ron, whereas Edwards portrays Kelly's daughter.

Jay Kelly is slated to hit a limited number of theatres on November 14 before its December 05 release on Netflix.
