Ahead of the release of Alison Brie's upcoming body horror Together, the actor revealed that she would be making her feature directorial debut. Brie will star alongside Dave Franco in Together, which is set to release theatrically in India on August 8.
Brie's directorial debut will be written by her along with Alice Stanley Jr. Continuing on the throes of Together, her debut will also be set in the horror genre, but with a female forward approach. Stanley Jr previously worked on projects like Wine Country, Moxie, and Busy Tonight.
Speaking to Marie Claire magazine, Brie said, “I felt like I was writing it to direct it. I could see every shot in my head.”
Together is the fifth film in which Brie has collaborated with Franco, her husband. They have collaborated previously on The Disaster Artist, The Rental, The Little Hours, and Someone I Used To Know. The latter one, did not star Franco, but was directed by him, and was written by Franco and Brie.
Together, which is directed by Michael Shanks, also stars Shanks, Damon Herrimann, Mia Morrissey, Karl Richmond, Jack Kenney, and Melanie Beddie, amongst others. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
