Arnold Schwarzenegger’s action-comedy series Fubar is officially ending its mission at Netflix. The streaming giant has cancelled the show after two seasons.

The series premiered in 2023 to solid viewership, with its first season marking a strong debut. However, its follow-up season—released more than two years later on June 12—struggled to sustain that momentum. While Fubar managed to enter Nielsen’s top 10 streaming originals for the week of June 16, it quickly disappeared from the rankings in the following week.

In Fubar, Schwarzenegger plays veteran CIA agent Luke Brunner, a man ready for retirement until he’s pulled back into action on a mission to save a fellow operative, only to discover she’s his daughter. Season 2 saw Brunner confronting a deadly threat from his past: a former lover turned villain, who not only poses a global danger but could also dismantle his personal life.

Created and showrun by Nick Santora, the show featured a star-studded cast including Monica Barbaro, Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Jay Baruchel, among others. The executive production team included Schwarzenegger himself, along with Adam Higgs, Scott Sullivan, Phil Abraham, Amy Pocha, Seth Cohen, and Skydance's David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell. Season 2 was produced by Skydance Television.

While Fubar won’t be continuing, Netflix has recently greenlit additional seasons for several other scripted titles, including Bridgerton, Wednesday, The Diplomat, The Lincoln Lawyer, and Virgin River, among others.
