Sam Raimi's upcoming horror thriller Send Help, starring Dylan O'Brien and Rachel McAdams has wrapped filming in Australia. The film, backed by 20th Century Studios, has a screenplay by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, the writers known for 2017's Dwayne Johnson-starrer Baywatch.
His co-producer Zainab Azizi had confirmed the news on his Instagram handle, saying, "That’s a wrap on Send Help. After years in the making, we wrapped principal photography on April 17. Grateful beyond words to everyone who helped bring this to life—from LA to Australia to Thailand."
Raimi has earlier directed horror films like The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II and Drag Me to Hell.
According to the makers, the plot follows two colleagues who become the last survivors of a plane crash on an island. They must overcome past grievances and work together to survive. Send Help marks Raimi's first film as a director since 2022's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The filmmaker is also producing it through his Raimi Productions banner along with Zainab Azizi. A release date is yet to be announced by the makers.
