A teaser trailer for Predator: Badlands, the ninth film in the franchise, has been released. Dan Trachtenberg returns to direct the film after Prey and Predator: Killer of Killers.

Predator: Badlands is set on a remote planet in the future, which follows a young Predator who teams up with Thia, an android, to go on a journey to find an enemy that poses a huge threat. Elle Fanning stars as Thia in the film, with Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi as the Predator.

Along with directing the film, Trachtenberg also serves as a producer on Predator: Badlands. Other producers include John Davis, Brent O'Connor, Ben Rosenblatt, and Marc Toberoff. 20th Century Studios is backing the film.

The film series started with 1987's Predator, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead as Dutch as he and his team track the eponymous creature. The franchise has also had crossovers with the Alien franchise in the films Alien vs Predator (2004) and Alien vs Predator: Requiem (2007).

Dan Trachtenberg's Predator: Badlands is set to release theatrically on November 7.
