Netflix sets release date for The Sandman's season two

The series is based on Neil Gaiman's comic book series of the same name

Netflix announced the date of release of the second season of The Sandman, with a short teaser. The series will release in two volumes, with the first volume of six episodes set to release on July 3 and the second volume of five episodes on July 24.

The second season of The Sandman follows Dream as he restores and rebuilds his kingdom, but his past is always behind him.

The cast of The Sandman sees the return of Tom Sturridge as Dream, with Kirby, Mason Alexander Park, Donna Preston, Adrian Lester, Esme Creed Miles, Barry Sloane, Ruairi O'Connor, Freddie Fox, Clive Russell, Laurence O'Fuarain, Ann Skelly, Jack Gleeson, Indya Moore, and Steve Coogan.

Allan Heinberg is the showrunner and writer for The Sandman. Neil Gaiman and David S Goyer are writers on the series and serve as executive producers with Heinberg.

Season One of The Sandman is currently airing on Netflix.
