Spanish filmmaker Jaume Collet-Serra to direct Netflix's An Innocent Girl

After making Carry On the second-most watched film on Netflix of all time, filmmaker Jaume Collet-Serra will team up with the streamer again for the dramatic psychological thriller An Innocent Girl.

The film, according to the makers, is about a young and determined woman getting seduced by a powerful couple in Washington, DC, into the pernicious world of sex, murder, and power.

Collet-Serra will direct the film written by Michael Mohan, of the Immaculate fame, with revisions from Marc Guggenheim, of the Carnival Row fame.

The director's Carry On, starring Taron Egerton and Jason Bateman, garnered 172.1 million views and over 344.1 million watch hours.

An Innocent Girl is produced by Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter under Berlanti/Schechter Films with Netflix, with Marc Guggenheim, Mike McGrath, and Scott Greenberg serving as the executive producers.

Other directorial credits of Collet-Sera include The Woman in the Yard and The Shallows. He also has the reboot of the 1993 film Cliffhanger in the pipeline.
