Showtime's Dexter: Original Sin is renewed for season two

The series is a prequel to the original series Dexter starring Michael C Hall as the titular character

A few weeks after season one of Showtime's Dexter: Original Sin finished airing, the series has been renewed for season two, reports Variety. The series is created by Clyde Phillips, who was a showrunner of Dexter.

In 1991, young Dexter Morgan, played by Patrick Gibson, is guided by his father Harry to direct his psychopathic tendencies into finding and killing people who are criminals.

The cast of Dexter: Original Sin alongside Gibson are Molly Brown, Christian Slater, James Martinez, Christina Milan, Alex Shimizu, Patrick Dempsey, and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Michael C Hall, who originated the role of Dexter, lends his voice as Dexter's inner voice.

Clyde Phillips serves as the showrunner for Dexter: Original Sin and serves as an executive producer with Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez, Mary Leah Sutton, Michael Lehmann, and Lilly Burns. Michael Lehmann serves as a director on the series. Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios produce the series, with Paramount Global Content Distribution distributing.

Season One of Dexter: Original Sin is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
