Bring Her Back trailer: Sally Hawkins plays a foster mother who uses her adopted children for cult-like rituals

A24 unveiled the trailer for their upcoming production, Bring Her Back, on Tuesday. The Australian horror film comes from twin filmmakers Danny and Michael Philippou.

The trailer shows Sally Hawkins as someone who has not yet recovered from the trauma of losing a loved one. She plays a foster mother who adopts a sister-brother duo, in addition to a child he already is fostering. We then see her indulge in satanic rituals with the first foster child while the brother and sister identify the terrifying practice. The film’s trailer hints at themes of reincarnation and the afterlife.

Billy Barrat, Sora Wong, Jonah Wren Phillips, and Sally-Anne Upton star in prominent roles in Bring Her Back. Danny Philippou has also written the film along with Bill Hinzman.

Said to be a the spiritual sequel to the director duo's Talk to Me, Bring Her Back is produced by Samantha Jennings and Kristina Ceyton under the Causeway Films and RackaRacka banners. The film is scheduled to be released in the United States by A24 on 30 May 2025.
