At CinemaCon, the makers of Sam Mendes' films about The Beatles revealed that the film will be released in April 2028. The official title for the films is The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event.

The Beatles consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. While all four provided vocals, Lennon and McCartney were the lead vocalists, Harrison was on strings and bass, and Starr was on percussion. Before Starr joined The Beatles, Peter Best, a British drummer born in Madras, was the drummer for the band for two years.

Harris Dickinson will play John Lennon, Paul Mescal will portray Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan will play Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn will play George Harrison. The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event is planned as a series of four films, with each film focusing on a member of the band. However, the films will collectively be released in April 2028.

Along with directing the film, Mendes is also producing with Pippa Harris and Julie Pastor under the Neal Street Productions banner. Alexandra Derbyshire is producing under the Apple Corps banner. Sony Pictures Entertainment is producing the film and distributing it worldwide.
