Jason Momoa confirms his return in Dune 3

The film is an adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune: Messiah, and is directed by Denis Villeneuve

Jason Momoa, star of Denis Villeneuve's Dune (2021), confirms his return for Dune 3. The actor confirmed his involvement in an interview with TODAY while talking about his upcoming film A Minecraft Movie.

While talking to Craig Melvin, Momoa said, "Well, I'm not sure if I am going to get in trouble or not, but it's like Game of Thrones; if you didn't read the books, it's not my fault. Yeah... I'm going to be coming back."

The third film in the Dune franchise will be based on Frank Herbert's Dune: Messiah. Herbert's Dune was adapted by Denis Villeneuve into two films, Dune (2021) and Dune: Part Two (2024). It starred Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, with Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, and Dave Bautista.

Momoa stars as Garrett "The Garbage Man" Garrison in A Minecraft Movie. Jack Black, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, Sebastian Hansen, and Jennifer Coolidge.

Directed by Jared Hess, A Minecraft Movie is set to release theatrically on April 4.
