Rumours have recently been rife about Liev Schreiber's involvement in Netflix's Splinter Cell adaptation as Tom Clancy’s stealth specialist Sam Fisher after Michael Ironside, the voice actor for the character in the video game series, hinted at it. Netflix has now dropped a teaser for the anime series at a Geeked Week event in Atlanta, confirming that Schreiber voices Fisher and Splinter Cell: Deathwatch as its title. The trailer shows Fisher who sports a grey beard and appears older than his own version in the video games.

Guillaume Dousse and Felicien Colmet-Daage are directing the show from a screenplay by Derek Kolstad of John Wick fame. Kolstad also serves as an executive producer, alongside Helene Juguet, Hugo Revon and Gerard Guillemot of Ubisoft Film and Television. Splinter Cell: Deathwatch hails from the animation studios Fost and Sun Creature.
