Ben Hardy and Mia Tomlinson join the final Conjuring film

Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will also star in The Conjuring: Last Rites

The Conjuring: Last Rites, which is said to be the final Conjuring film, added Ben Hardy and Mia Tomlinson to its cast. Hardy and Tomlinson join Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga in the Michael Chaves directorial. Chaves has previously directed The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021), and The Nun 2 (2023) in the franchise.

Wilson and Farmiga return to the franchise as the paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. Last Rites is the fourth direct Conjuring film, and the ninth one in the Conjuring universe. A sequel to Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021), it is scheduled to release on September 5, 2025.

The plot of the previous Conjuring films have been inspired from the real-life cases handled by the Warrens. David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and James Wan's story was written into a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. Wan and Peter Safran, who have produced several previous Conjuring films, return as producers for The Last Rites

Further details about the nature of the paranormal activity in the film are yet to be revealed.
