A recent report has stated that Tom Holland will team up with Austin Butler in American Speed, a true story of brothers who were race drivers but became infamous for their involvement in drug smuggling.

The film will feature the story of three brothers, Don, Dale and Bill Whittington, with Don and Dale competing in Le Mans and Indy 500 multiple times.

The duo fell from grace for being part of the International Motor Sports Association scandal in the 1980s, after it was learned that they financed their racing activities with the drug smuggling proceeds. The two brothers were arrested for the crime.

However, there is no official word yet on who will play the third brother and no director's name has been attached to the project.

Tom Holland and Austin Butler have the fourth Spider-Man film and Darren Aranofsky's Caught Stealing in their pipelines, respectively. Butler is also reported to star in Heat 2 directed by Michael Mann.
