The trailer for Lonely Planet, the upcoming romantic film directed by the Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Susannah Grant, was unveiled by Netflix on Thursday. The film stars Oscar-winning actor Laura Dern and actor Liam Hemsworth in lead roles.

The trailer shows Dern as a reclusive novelist who takes a trip to Morrocco to overcome her writer's block. There she meets a much younger man (Hemsworth) who is there with his girlfriend. What initially blossoms between them as a curious and innocent friendship soon converts into a love affair.

The official logline of Lonely Planet reads, "A reclusive novelist (Laura Dern) arrives at a prestigious writer's retreat in Morocco, hoping the remote setting will unlock her writer's block. While there, she meets a young man (Liam Hemsworth)—what starts as an acquaintanceship evolves into an intoxicating, life-altering love affair."

Lonely Planet also stars Diana Silvers, Younès Boucif, Adriano Giannini, and Rachida Brakni in supporting roles. The film is produced by Grant, Sarah Timberman, and Liza Chasin. The film will premiere on Netflix on October 11.
