Amanda Kramer has scripted and directed an independent feature film titled By Design, which has completed its production recently in Los Angeles. Leading the cast are Juliette Lewis (Yellowjackets) and Mamoudou Athie (Archive 81).

Samantha Mathis (The Exorcism), Robin Tunney (Dear Edward), Clifton Collins Jr (Jockey), Udo Kier (Swan Song) and Betty Buckley (Eternity) are also part of the cast. Natalie Whalen and Miranda Bailey of Cold Iron Pictures produced the film along with Sarah Winshall of Smudge Films, Jacob Agger, and Amanda Kramer. The makers are yet to reveal plot details but describe it as a spin on the genre "body swap".

Lewis is an Academy Award-nominated actor who presently stars in Yellowjackets. Her upcoming projects also include the thriller The Thicket, opposite Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage, and the A24 horror feature Opus, alongside John Malkovich and Ayo Edebiri.

Recently seen in the Yorgos Lanthimos directorial Kinds of Kindness, alongside Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, and Willem Dafoe, Athie's credits also include The Burial, Elemental, The Boy and the Heron, and Jurassic World Dominion.
