At the Creative Arts Emmy that took place on Sunday, actor Jamie Lee Curtis bagged an Emmy award for her performance in The Bear. The actor, who has previously won an Academy Award, a BAFTA, and a Golden Globe, takes home an Emmy for the Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her work in the Jeremy Allen White-headliner. 

After winning, Curtis spoke backstage and said, "I’m the luckiest girl in the world. I’ve been an actor since I was 19. I’m 65. I sold yoghurt that makes you shit for seven years, and I just never thought in my life that I would get to do work at this level, depth and complexity and intelligence. It’s just been the thrill of my creative life these last couple years that I get these opportunities, so I’m humble and incredibly grateful."

Curtis is seen as Donna Berzatto, the mother of the Berzatto family consisting of Carmy, Mikey and Sugar. She is an alcoholic and was originally introduced in the 'Fishes' episode of the first season. 

Other contenders in the Guest Actress in a Comedy Series category were Olivia Coleman for The Bear, Kaitlin Olson for Hacks, Da'Vine Joy Randolph for Only Murders in the Building, Maya Rudolph for Saturday Night Live and Kristen Wiig for Saturday Night Live. 

Curtis has previously received an Emmy nomination for the Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie category for television film Nicholas' Gift (1998) from CBS.
