Phoebe Dynevor is cast in a lead role in Famous, a film adaptation of Blake Crouch's novel of the same name. The Jody Hill directorial is set in Los Angeles and delves into the dark aspects of celebrityhood. She will team up with Zac Efron, who will play two characters in the thriller, comprising a Hollywood heartthrob named James Jansen and a die-hard fan named Lance Dunkquist. Chad Hodge adapted the novel for the feature film.

There is one potentially lifechanging asset to Lance Dunkquist, that he looks like iconic Hollywood star James Jansen. Lance is all set to visit Los Angeles in order to realise his acting dream and become famous, come what may.

Sam Esmail and Chad Hamilton of Esmail Corp as well as Michael Sagol of Caviar are producing the film for distributor A24.

Dynevor became famous for her role as Daphne Basset in the Netflix show Bridgerton, which earned the actor a nomination for the BAFTA Film Rising Star Award this year. She is fresh from her critically acclaimed performance in the Netflix film Fair Play. Her upcoming projects also include Inheritance, slated for a 2025 release.
