Chloe Bennet known for her role in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Phil Dunster of Ted Lasso-fame are set to headline the upcoming film Hello Out There. Directed by writer-filmmaker Otis Blum in his feature debut, the indie film has wrapped shooting in New Mexico.

Hello Out There follows Minnie (Bennet), a young journalist, and her cousin Rex (Dunster), a punk rock guitarist just out of rehab, as they journey across New Mexico. Their official goal is to explore Area 51 and uncover the truth about extraterrestrial life. However, as their road trip progresses, a more profound and personal reason behind their quest begins to surface.

Blum, who wrote the screenplay, describes the film as a story about human connection and our relationship with the cosmos. Hello Out There was produced by Thomas Mahoney under Handsome Watson, with Purple Intuition providing production services. The film is notable for its primarily New Mexican crew, a choice that underscores the importance of the region to Blum.
