Armie Hammer, who stepped away from Hollywood in 2021 following a series of sexual assault accusations, is making a comeback. The actor has signed on to star in the upcoming Western film Frontier Crucible.

Attached to the film is producer Dallas Sonnier, known for films like Bone Tomahawk and Dragged Across Concrete, and director Travis Mills. It also stars Thomas Jane, Myles Clohessy, Eli Brown, Eddie Spears, Zane Holtz, Jonah Kagen, and newcomer Mary Stickley.

“I’ve made a career out of smashing taboos, while always striving for great cinema,” stated Sonnier. “This moment is the perfect mix of my two dedications. I cannot wait to work with Armie Hammer on this incredible western, a genre I adore.”

Hammer himself took to Instagram, sharing photos from the film's set with the caption: "Back in the saddle."

Hammer, known for films such as The Social Network and Call Me by Your Name, faced a career setback in 2021 after the emergence of accusations against him, including rape. He exited many big projects, his agent and publicist dropped him, and LAPD started a probe into his private life. However, Hammer denied the accusations and maintained that he only had consensual relationships, and he did not face any criminal charges.
