Actor Mamoudou Athie will reportedly soon join Zendaya and Robert Pattinson in the upcoming much-anticipated film The Drama. The actor is in final talks to join the film, written and directed by Kristoffer Borli.

While specific plot details remain largely under wraps, early speculation suggests the film explores a romance that veers into unexpected territory as a couple prepares for their wedding day.

The Drama will be produced by Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen and Tyler Campellone, under their banner Square Peg Banner.

Square Peg and A24 are reuniting once again after successful collaborations in films like Hereditary, Midsommar, Dream Scenario and upcoming films like Death of a Unicorn, starring Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega in lead roles, and Eddington starring Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal and Emma Stone.

Athie is fresh off his role in Yorgos Lanthimos' recent drama Kinds of Kindness, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and featured a stellar cast including Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, and Margaret Qualley. He also gave his voice for Pixar's Elemental and the Netflix film Uncorked.
