Jennifer Westfeldt to adapt and co-star in adaptation of The Sweet Spot

Jennifer Westfeldt is all set to adapt Amy Poeppel's The Sweet Spot and co-star in the female-driven ensemble, which is being developed by Amazon MGM Studios. Laura Lewis and Rebella Media will also produce alongside Westfeldt. 

The Sweet Spot is a heartwarming, female-led comedy set in New York City during the holiday season, exploring themes of found family, new beginnings, and unexpected romance amidst chaos.

Westfeldt previously teamed up with Michael Showalter as writer of The Idea of You, a romantic comedy starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine, which broke records as Amazon MGM's biggest romantic comedy launch.

Jennifer Westfeldt's body of work spans film and television, showcasing her expertise as a writer, producer, actress, and director. Her independent film projects include Kissing Jessica Stein, Ira & Abby, and Friends with Kids, which marked her successful directorial debut. Westfeldt's television acting credits are extensive and diverse, encompassing dramas, comedies, and everything in between. Her notable TV appearances include Younger, Queen America, This is Us, Girls, 24, Grey's Anatomy, and Notes from the Underbelly among others. Other recent credits include the Showtime series First Lady.

Producer Lauren Lewis's latest projects include Mr. Malcolm's List and Hulu's Tell Me Lies, adding to her credits on Long Weekend, An Acceptable Loss, All About Nina, and Little Woods.
