First poster for Osgood Perkins' The Monkey out

Filmmaker James Wan released the first poster for The Monkey, his feature film production with director Osgood Perkins of Longlegs fame. It is an adaptation of Stephen King's 1980 short story The Monkey.

The film revolves around a series of terrifying deaths that affect twins Hal and Bill after they find out about their father's old toy monkey in the attic. In a bid to escape the supernatural events, they throw away the monkey and go their separate ways. However, when the inexplicable deaths repeat, the brothers reunite to destroy the supernatural toy for good.

The film stars Theo James, Christian Convery, Tatiana Maslany, Elijah Wood, Colin O'Brien, Rohan Campbell, and Sarah Levy. Neon distributes the film, which has the backing of producer James Wan's banner Atomic Monster, C2 Motion, Picture Group, Range, Oddfellows Entertainment, Black Bear Pictures, and Stars Collective Films.

The Monkey is scheduled for a February 21 release.
