Earlier, we reported about Matt Damon and Ben Affleck onboarding a crime thriller titled RIP, from writer-director Joe Carnahan. The latest additions to the cast are Catalina Sandino Moreno and Néstor Carbonell.
Sasha Calle and Teyana Taylor are in talks to star in the film. Affleck and Damon are also producing the film through their Artists Equity label, alongside their banner partners Luciana Damon and Dani Bernfeld. The film is set to go on floors later this October in Los Angeles and Miami.
In RIP, a group of Miami police officers discover millions from a stash house. Law enforcement rules necessitate the cops to stay there, which complicates things. With trust among them starting to fray, external forces figure out that the building has millions in liquid cash.
Carbonell and Moreno play police force members. Moreno's upcoming projects include Ballerina, the spinoff of John WIck, starring Ana de Armas.
Carbonell most recently starred in the Emmy Award-winning show Shogun and is expected to reprise his role from The Morning Show in its fourth season.
