Writer-director Tom DeNucci is helming a sports comedy film titled The Roaring Game. Leading the cast of the film are Mickey Rourke and erstwhile NFL player Rob Gronkowski.

The film, which recently completed production, also stars  William Forsythe and Vanessa Angel in important roles.

The plot revolves around Rickey, a janitor at a high school, and his lover, Kelly. When Kelly gets a chance to play for the USA's hockey team in the World Games, Rickey makes his own curling team with misfits and relies on his janitorial skills to vie for gold, win back his lover, and complete a search for redemption.

Some of Gronkowski's credits as an actor are The Clapper, Entourage, Boss Level and The Instigators.

On the other hand, Rourke's most popular title is The Wrestler, director Darren Aronofsky's film that earned the actor Oscar and Golden Globe nominations.

Chad A Verdi, who produces The Roaring Game through his Verdi Productions banner, eyes a release around the 2026 Winter Olympics.
