Earlier, we reported about Glen Powell starring in The Running Man remake from director Edgar Wright. The latest development is that Katy O'Brian, known for her role in The Mandalorian and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, is set to star in the film. Katy played a cameo role in Powell's recently released Twisters remake as well.

As per a Deadline report, Powell plays the same role as Arnold Schwarzenegger's from the science-fiction action film, released in 1987 and based on a Stephen King novel.

The plot unfolds in a dystopian world with a television show about criminal "runners" evading assassins. Wright is directing the film from a Michael Bacall screenplay. Wright will produce the film as well, with Nira Park and Simon Kinberg.

With The Running Man remake, Wright is coming back as a director after 2021's psychological thriller Last Night in Soho.

Katy's upcoming projects include the eight instalment in Tom Cruise's Mission Impossible franchise.
