Michael Biehn, known for his roles in James Cameron's films such as Aliens and The Terminator, is making a comeback to Hollywood studio films. Biehn, who has been acting in low-budget thrillers over the last many years, is the new addition to the cast of director Adam Wingard's action thriller Onslaught.

Actor Reginald VelJohnson, known for Die Hard and Family Matters, and comedian-actor Eric Wareheim have signed on to star in the film as well. They join the existing cast that includes Adria Arjona, Dan Stevens, and Drew Starkey. Mixed martial artist Alex Pereira is in talks for the film as well.

Lyrical Media, A24, and Ryder Picture Company back the project. The makers are yet to reveal many details about the film, but it is reportedly a blend of horror, action, and thriller.

Arjona plays a mother who resides in a trailer and has to revert to her skill set to keep her near and dear ones safe when she comes into conflict with a threat that gets out of a military base. The film will star Biehn as an elite mercenary group's leader, who attempts to keep the threat in check. It will also star VelJohnson and Wareheim as the trailer community members, Pereira as the main villain, and Stevens as a German scientist part of certain experiments.
