The 55th International Film Festival of India is set to commence in Goa on November 20, with the Asia premiere of filmmaker Michael Gracey's Robbie Williams biopic Better Man’. The film will be screened at 2:00 PM on November 20 at INOX Panjim, with its cast and crew in the attendees alongside other dignitaries.

As per the official plotline: “Better Man’ is based on the true story of the meteoric rise, dramatic fall, and remarkable resurgence of British pop superstar Robbie Williams, one of the greatest entertainers of all time. Under the visionary direction of Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman), the film is uniquely told from Williams’ perspective, capturing his signature wit and indomitable spirit. It follows Robbie’s journey from childhood, to being the youngest member of chart-topping boyband Take That, through to his unparalleled achievements as a record-breaking solo artist – all the while confronting the challenges that stratospheric fame and success can bring.”

Steve Pemberton, Damon Herriman, Raechelle Banno, Alison Steadman, Kate Mulvaney, Frazer Hadfield, Tom Budge, and Anthony Hayes are also part of the cast.

The trailer for the film from screenwriters Simon Gleeson and Oliver Cole's has a monkey (with voice work by Jonno Davies) singing in place of the pop star, quite literally.
